Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I would save anything written by Jane Austen, as she is my favorite author, but if I have to choose just one, I would save Pride and Prejudice. I first read this for a book report in high school and remember liking it, but not much more. When I moved to England I picked up a copy and became hooked on her work, and subsequently read all her books. Jane Austen's ability to develop different, real characters with language that fits their personalities is incredible. What would we do without her descriptions of early nineteenth-century English life?
